1. What is Elective Education Ltd?
Elective Education Ltd is a specialist provider of home education support for secondary-aged students (11–16). We offer flexible, high-quality learning support tailored to each child’s needs, including curriculum guidance, tutoring, assessment, and pastoral support.
2. Is Elective Education Ltd a school?
No, we are not a school. We support families who choose to educate their children outside of the traditional school system. Our service enables a structured yet flexible alternative to school education.
3. What subjects do you support?
We cover all core subjects (English, Maths, Science) and a range of additional subjects including Geography, History, and Religious Studies, but this list is not exhaustive.
4. Do you follow the national curriculum?
Yes, as a minimum all support, guidance and resources are aligned with the National Curriculum in England. For GCSEs, we follow major exam board specifications to ensure students are well-prepared for formal assessment.
5. Can students take GCSEs with you?
We help students prepare for GCSEs and provide guidance on booking exams as private candidates. We do not directly administer exams, but we support families in finding local centres.
6. How is learning delivered?
Contact with us, either with a tutor, coach or specialist is normally live and online. We are not opposed to in-person services, but it must make sense for all stakeholders to do this.
7. What support is available for students and parents?
Students receive regular feedback, progress tracking, and mentoring. Parents have access to a support team, curriculum guides, and termly updates on progress.
8. How much does it cost?

9. Can we cancel if it’s not the right fit?
Yes. We operate on a 4-week notice period, so you’re not locked into long-term contracts. We aim to be as flexible as possible to support families. No hard feeling, maybe we’ll meet again in the future.
10. Do you offer support for children with SEND?
Yes. Our teachers are experienced with many SEND and other additional needs, and we are happy to discuss specific requirements during your initial consultation.
11. Do you provide social opportunities?
Yes, we offer virtual social events, clubs, and optional field trips to encourage connection and community among students.
